Large Paintings--oils

Water Color is perhaps my favorite medium. People tend to think of water color as a difficult medium, and it's true you don't have the wiggle room you have with oils and acrylics to make changes, but it's not as hard as people think. I love the airy freedom of the medium.

Another reason I love water colors is because I like to work outside with the subject in front me. Sometimes you find out interesting things when you do this, like when I painted Morning Glories, I saw that as the day progressed the color of the flowers changes. In the evening they close up altogether and open again the next morning.

It's too bad people think paintings have to big to be wonderful, as most water colors are small but can be just as wonderful.

More watercolors will be added when I get their jpegs.

It you look close, you'll see the World Trade Towers in the background.

I loved Dr. Gottleib--he fixed my teeth for little money when I was poor.

Sometimes you can work hard and the picture still isn't right.
